This error means that and automatically-generated payment line has a tax code attached. This is only valid if the "VAT on payments" option is enabled.
This issue can be fixed by navigating to the "Diagnostics" page, checking the "fix errors if possible" checkbox and performing a diagnostic. This will will remove all tax codes on automatically generated payment lines.
