If you want to modify an item's number, got to :

Tools - Renaming tools - Rename an item number :

Scroll to select the item to renumber

Indicate the new number and click on Execute

In the case of renumbering, keep the same consistency that would apply in the case of creating a new item.

If you try to give a number that is already in use, the program will not accept the change.
